Working with images/photos in Webitor

Uploading & inserting a new image:

  1. Login to Webitor
  2. Go to the page you would like your image inserted on
  3. Click on the page where you want to place your image, you should see your mouse cursor flashing. (for help with layout out your page see Layouts)
  4. Click the "image" button on the left menu
  5. You will see a tabbed menu up the top, select "Upload new image"
  6. Optional: Select a directory to upload your photos into. (Directories can be used to help organise/group photos together)
  7. Click the "browse" button and find the image on your computer.
  8. Select your image and press "Open"
  9. Optional: You can upload multiple image at once, notice the small " " button next to browse, click this to get more browse boxes.
  10. Tick the "Resize my image" box;
  11. and enter a width in the box provided, 480 pixels is approximatly 16cm on screen.
  12. Click the "Upload" button. Uploading can take a few seconds to minutes depending on the size of your image.

    Inserting the Image
  13. Now select your image from the list
  14. Click the "Insert Image" button
  15. Tick "Create a thumbnail" box
  16. and enter a width in the box provided, 220px is about the 8 centimetres. (A thumbnail is a small version of an image, linked to a larger version. Clicking on the thumbnail image will popup the larger original image.)
  17. Image Alignment: On which side of the text do you want the image to appear? Left or Right?
  18. Optional: Image Style: This is where you add a border to the image, look in the list for "Image_Border"or "Images"
  19. Optional: Image Description: a short description of this image for search engines and sight impared people
  20. Click the "insert your image" button.
  21. Save the page.

Inserting an existing image:

  1. Now select your image from the list
  2. Click the "Insert Image" button
